This is a blog for people that are in the restaurant industry and live in Los Angeles. I have been working in bars and restaurants for more than 11 years and just landed a job as a server at Morton's downtown Los Angeles.
I am going to provide links and information about bars and restaurants that are hiring or may be hiring or opening soon. I am going to avoid the "casting call" type interviews in this blog because if you are anything like me you don't like waiting around with hundreds of other people for a 2 minute interview only to be turned away.
As much as I love craigslist, only 1 of the 3 jobs I have had in Los Angeles have actually came from craigslist and it wasn't a "casting call" type situation. I was called in off my resume and got the job based on my experience.

They have few listings but they are quality listings. Some are open call but they are approved by the site and not a craigslist free-for-all.
